This is something I have always wanted to try and I'm happy I have found the energy and the time to do it now.
📬 Diary of a Software Engineer is a bi-weekly newsletter where I share my work experiences over the past 6 years to introduce you to topics and challenges of being a Software Engineer in a company.
I'll write about software engineering challenges, career advice, working effectively in an agile team, and collaborating with a Product Manager.
My goals for this newsletter are:
Be consistent. I'll send out a new issue every other Tuesday, this should allow me to prepare each issue in advance during the weekend.
Improve my writing skills. It's time to force myself to work on this and the best way to do it is by practicing. I'm sure I'll do a lot of mistakes, so sorry in advance (English isn't my primary language).
Share my experiences. I started working as an iOS Software Engineer 6 years ago, it's not so long but I feel in these years I've been lucky enough to work with amazing engineers that helped me to grow and gain new skills.
Connect with new folks. After 2 years of the pandemic, it's been hard to make new connections with folks in the industry for me. I hope this newsletter will help me to know new people and get their points of view on different topics and challenges I face in my daily job.
